Floating walkway

My problem as a driver is that I am afraid of getting into an accident with a pedestrian or biker. The solution I came up with was a floating walkway across the intersection. This could eliminate so many accidents just by having bikers and walkers go up this ramp. It'll be an automated walk way up the slope. It will be accessible for those who are limited to a wheelchair. It'll be at every intersection so that cars won't have to worry about pedestrians walking out into the street.
