Color Theory

Color Wheel:

Color schemes are used to help create a different style and appearance of a design. Color schemes tend to contain colors that accompany each other and work well together.

Monochromatic Color Scheme:
All of the colors, shades, and tints of one single color.

Analogous Color Scheme:
These are colors on a color wheel that are right next to each other. The main color will tend to be a primary or secondary color accompanied by two tertiary colors.

Complementary Color Scheme:
These are colors that are right across from each other on the color wheel. These colors cancel each other out creating an achromatic color, which are white, gray, or black.

Color Triad Color Scheme:
These are colors that appear on the color wheel equally spaced between each other. These colors tend to contrast each other.

Split Complementary Color Scheme:
The split complementary scheme uses the two colors on the color wheel on either side of the complementary color. This still offers the same contrast of colors as the complementary color scheme does.

Multi-view sketches

Conclusions
1. The purpose of construction lines shows where edges should line up between the pictures and how wide they are supposed to be. Object lines show the shape we are drawing.
2. Hidden lines show shapes that can't be shown in a certain view. Center lines show where the center of a circle should start.
3. The first pictorial shown is an isometric view because it shows multiple faces of an object.
4. Number 6 is an isometric view because more than one face is present in the first representation of the object.
5. Multi-view drawings would make it easier to see how an object works. Sometimes simpler is better. In pictorial drawings it's hard to show the dimensions and other important information.

Concept: Floating Intersection

Today
Intersections of the world today have a lot of safety issues. When you cross the street you are being put directly in front of the oncoming car. If a car runs the read light it is very easy for a pedestrian to be hit.

Future
In the near future a way to keep pedestrians safe would be to raise the intersection that the cars cross. If you do this that would mean the pedestrians would walk underneath this "floating" walkway. The cars would drive up to the top and stop until the lights turned green and it was their turn to go.
